SO و Such

يشتبه أمر هاتين الكلمتين على الكثير منا و سنحاول هنا شرح الفرق بينهما و كيفية إستعمالهما. و نوضح هذا في أربعة أجزاء أتمنى أن تنال إعجابكم:



- الجزء الأول:



تأملوا المثالين التاليين:



!!I didn't enjoy the book. The story was so stupid



I didn't enjoy the book. It was Such a stupid story



والآن نُحوّل ما لاحظناه إلى قواعد نحوية:



1- مع الصفة غير مرفوقة بإسم نستخدم So مثل:

so stupid



2- مع الصفة مرفوقة بالإسم نستخدم Such مثل:

Such a stupid story



ويمكن استعمال So مع ظرف دون إسم على غرار:



Fatima doesn't understand because she speaks so quickly



الجزء الثاني:



تقوي و تعزز So و Such معنى الصفة، لنلاحظ:



(It's a beautiful day, isn't it? It's so warm. really warm



(We enjoyed our vacation. We had Such a good time. a really good time



و الآن قارنوا So و Such في العبارتين التاليتين و تذكروا القاعدة النحوية السابقة الذكر في الجزء الأول:



I like Ahmed and Fatima. They are so nice



I like Ahmed and Fatima. They are Such nice people. (وليس so nice people )



و غالبا ما يُقال so that و Such .....that كما في الأمثلة التالية:



I was so tired that I went to bed at seven o'clock



Ahmed worked so hard that he made himself sick



It was Such a beautiful weather that we spent the whole day in the park



The book was so good that I couldn't put it down



It was Such a good book that I couldn't put it down



و في حالة التخاطب العامي أو غير الرسمي يمكن حذف ضمير الوصل that الوارد في كل العبارات السابقة. مثال:



I was so tired that I went to bed at seven o'clock



Ahmed worked so hard that he made himself sick



The book was so good that I couldn't put it down



الجزء الثالث:



تأملوا أنه في العبارات التالية تستعمل So و Such بطريقة مختلفة:



I expected the weather to be much cooler. I didn't expect it to be so warm

as warm as it is)



I'm tired because I got up at 6 o'clock. I don't usually get up so early

as early as 6 o'clock)



(Hurry up! Don't walk so slowly. as slowly as you are walking



I was surprised when Luisa told me the house was built 100 years ago



(I didn't realize it was so old. as old as it is



(I didn't realize it was Such an old house. as old as it is



الجزء الرابع:



المهم أن نتعلم أيضا كيف تختلف معاني بعض التعبيرات الشائعة التي تستخدم فيها So و Such .كما في قولنا:



SO LONG مقابل Such A LONG TIME



SO FAR مقابل Such A LONG WAY



SO MUCH و SO MANY مقابل Such A LOT OF



أمثلة على ذلك:



I haven't seen him for so long that I've forgotten what he looks like



I haven't seen him for Such a long time



I didn't know Fatima lived so far from the city



I didn't know Fatima lived Such a long way from the city



?How did Aida get so many members in Such a short time
